I’m Omar M. Khateeb
I’m Omar M. Khateeb.
I started my company with one mission; change how medtech companies sell and market to physicians.
That starts with teaching how to persuade at scale and drive product adoption using social media.
I’m not a guru and I don’t have a grand theory.
Instead there’s vision backed by experience and research.
I know how to do it because I’ve done it, so I can show you how.
Life After Medical School
I’m a first generation American whose parents came to the US by way of Iraq and Turkey.
I grew up on the US/Mexico border in El Paso, Texas.
The idea of discipline, honor, and hard work were engrained in me by my parents.
I went to medical school on an academic scholarship in 2009.
And then my life took a dramatic turn.
After a few years I decided to leave medical school to pursue a career in MedTech.
I started off by “carrying the bag” as a clinical sales rep for Mazor Robotics, the world’s first robotic spine company.
My talents in marketing and market development got me promoted to be the US Marketing Manager.
The past decade has been spent at various high-tech startups driving sales and technology adoption using growth marketing strategies and category design.
This includes two surgical robotic IPOs, a fintech SaaS startup, and predictive health company.
Burn the Boats
At the end of 2021 I left a fintech software startup to return to medtech.
My wife was pregnant with our first child and I shared my desire to pursue a mission to change the industry.
She pushed me to do it in honor of our son’s birth year.
So I “burned the boats” and started a company whose mission is to change how we do sales and marketing in medtech.
How I Help You
For those in sales I started an online program and training called the Medical Sales Network Effects Program that teaches how to sell and commercialize using digital.
For those in marketing or fundraising, The State of MedTech has various packages to help with areas such as brand awareness, lead generation, and content creation.
